The Palm Beach Road is a 10-kilometre-long (6.2 mi) six-lane road and an up-market residential and commercial road that connects Vashi to Belapur via Nerul running parallel to the Thane creek. The quality of the road, combined with the low density of vehicles has resulted in this road being a dream stretch for motorists coming from congested Mumbai.
The West of the road is mostly covered with mangroves, except for a few buildings that that been approved by the CIDCO - most notably the NRI Complex also known as Seawoods Estate, and a marine Training Center 'Chanakya'. A Delhi Public School has also been constructed recently.
Many malls and high-end residential towers are on the east side of the road. The residential towers however are not fully occupied because of the builder lobby sticking to unreasonable prices.
The stretch is touted as the Marine Drive of Navi Mumbai. People can be seen jogging or exercising by the road side early in the morning. Two malls have opened in the past one year - Palm Beach Galleria (2.5 lakh sq. ft in area) and City Centre, both situated in Sector 19D, Vashi right adjacent to each other. Five more malls have come.)
It is true that the apartment on this road is costly and builder has inflated the pricing. But palm beach road is the most posh location in Navi Mumbai.
Mainly this road has 55% compulsory greenery area. Hence no construction can take place at each and every place like Mumbai. Also some good apartment on palm beach road has excellent creek water view and mangrove vegetation view.
